Entertainment interviews are created just to entertain the audience. They are there not to really investigate anything, although they may reveal some things about the interviewee, are basically just to enetertain.
Hard News
Hard news is one type of interview style. This style can be seen on the BBC quite regularly. So what is Hard news? Well it is a piece of news which generally deals with serious or in depth topics such as politics, business and international affairs. Hard news is often headline news and discussed in much detail, sometimes over a period of time.
A hard news interview aims to get the solid facts on current issues, this can sometimes make the interview seem a little cold and harsh. Often the most important information is given first, this is so if you don't have time to watch or read the full report then you can get all the information you need quickly and be able to walk away understanding what is going on.
